Scient’x was the first to introduce PEEK-Optima® implants worldwide. PEEK-Optima® by Invibio™ is a biomaterial specially developed for spine, hip and dental implants. The use of PEEK-Optima® in spinal implants offers several benefits including bio-compatibility and a modulus of elasticity similar to that of bone which reduces stress shielding. In addition, PEEK materials are radiolucent with gold markers which allow the surgeon to better assess implant placement.
